October 30, 2003, DAY #2
Friends,
Today has been a better day. The nausea medicine has been pretty effective. Thus far, no vomiting today. I did eat some pretzels and drank a swallow of water also! People keep calling me on the phone and talk about food. This is not helpful. Then I see Pizza commercials on TV. Makes me sick just thinking about it! Hopefully this nausea thing will end soon. Otherwise, I was feeling pretty good today. I got in a lot of work today, as well as a couple of short walks. I usually put on regular street clothes and my hat to go walking. Lots of times the nurses see me and don't recognize me in the street clothes. Almost invariably they say they didn't recognize me dressed, then they get all flustered and embarassed. This has happened a couple of times already. It cracks me up!
On the Medical Front, nothing new added today. At any given time, I have up to 5 pumps going into me at once. The lab results are a little strange, but I suspect they will turn downward soon!
