October 11, 2004 DAY #341

Friends,

Just wanted to pass on some information about the Light The Night Walk. So far, the walk has raised over $266,000.00. There were over 2500 walkers! Make plans now on how you can help next year! Thanks to all who donated and participted!

Plans for our big First Birthday bash are coming along. We will be holding our party on Saturday, October 30, at Mission Bay, south of the Mission Bay Hilton. We won't know exactly where, but we will have banners and signs, hopefully. We are starting to collect donations from grocery stores for the food. Everyone is welcome! We will be serving Spaghetti with Marinara or Meat Sauce, green salad, Menchie's World Famous Lumpia in chicken and pork flavors, and we will have Phillipine barbeque. Known throughout the Navy as "Monkey Meat". Of course there is no Monkey in it, so don't worry. We will have water and sodas to drink. Get all that for a donation of $10.00! Kids 5-12 donate only $5.00. Kids under 5 eat free as long as a parent donates! In addition, we will be holding a raffle! Every $10.00 donor will receive a raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. We will be giving away 4 passes to the San Diego Maritime Museum, two Hornblower Harbor Cruise Tickets, and possibly other items if we can make the arrangements. Winners need not be present to win, as long as you give us a legible phone number and/or address. If you have something to donate for the raffle, please let us know!

Everyone is welcome! Invite all your friends and Family! Tell your church, your clubs and your work!

Forgot to mention in the last email. Over the weekend I added about 25 or so new merchants to Mzima Mall. Names like Limoges Jewelers, Reed Jewelers, Office Depot, and lots of other interesting merchants in the Accessories, Books and Business pages.

Check it out!
