Friends,
I finally got lots of sleep the last few days. Probably need lots more. The football games are over, so we can start concentrating on other things. I woke up this morning with my tongue bleeding, so we did a lot of rinsing with saline. I slept a lot on and off through the day after that. I was able to eat cream of wheat and beef broth again. The interesting thing about the beef broth was that this evening I drank it from a glass rather than ladling it with a spoon. For me, this was another milestone. In addition, I took one of my pills orally. It worked. The doctors don't sound so optimistic about Thanksgiving at home any more, so I need to start pushing more strongly in that direction. I just wish my mouth would heal more. Nothing very interesting happened today, here, really. I haven't gone for a walk today other than trips to the bathroom. I did not get any transfusions or anything today, but I hope the platelets start coming up.
Even though I am scheduled to get an echocardiogram and bone marrow biopsy on Monday my doctor said they will probably be very busy, so don't be surprised if they postpone my biopsy.
