November 14, 2007 , Day 393
Friends,
Forgot about my update again!! This last week was crazy! I started the workouts for Peak Performance. We had to do all sorts of strange stuff! I didn't do very well. I got kind of sick at one point, and almost fainted twice. The program was to do two sets of cycles and I couldn't even complete one. Thursday and Friday I was very, very sore. It was hard to sit down. Saturday we flew off to Denver and went to my nephew's wedding. It was a great wedding. We had a lot of fun, and got a chance to go up into the mountains for lunch. Our return trip was delayed in Phoenix with aircraft problems. Because of time constraints we didn't get any dinner on the way home. We finally got home about 1am on Monday morning. We were both really tired on Monday. I had another workout Monday at a different location and I am still sore from that workout, but we went back to the first place tonight and I did much better. I got through an entire cycle and about half way through the second cycle before I had to give up. I suspect I will be really sore again tomorrow.
Of course we are fundraising again for this program. My fundraising web site for this program is:
http://www.active.com/donate/tntsdh/tntsdhTWilcox2
I will try to get it at least minimally set up today in case anyone wants to donate. Of course, credit cards are accepted. Please remember that every penny helps. I think I mentioned the quote previously, but it is really relevant: "Standing before a grave, who can be sure he has done his duty? It is a hard thing to have survived when we owe our place to the dead." You might want to know why this is so meaningful to me. I am alive because of those who have gone before and have not survived. So I owe my life to the sacrifices of others. When have I done enough to justify their sacrifices? I cannot stop working to eliminate blood cancers. I have even more incentives, because there is very little hope that a third transplant will be possible. If I relapse, there will probably be no possibility of a cure, unless your donations result in a new cure. Right now we are fundraising for Peak Performance and the Rock and Roll Marathon. Menchie and I need to raise about $3,000.00 for these programs. Your donations, no matter how small can help keep me alive. Please help.
Today I got my new crowns put in. In a couple of weeks I will get a bunch of cavities filled in. I still have another 5 crowns or so to do also. I will keep cranking away at all of these problems.
We wish you all a great week!
Ted and Menchie
