November 13, 2006 , Day 27

Friends,

Wow,

Things are still a little confusing to me at times. I don't know if my confusion has been reflected in Menchie's messages. I haven't read all of her updates. I am having difficulty typing still, making lots of mistakes. Last night I felt like I was really starting to come out of the fog. I actually was able to drink some water without difficulty! Today I ate some chicken broth and beef broth. I finished the whole cup of beef broth.

I got one Platelets transfusion today.

I will have to continue using a Mask and neutropenic procedures until after Day 100, eventhough the WBC counts is Within Normal Limits. I have been better during the nights, not needing as many bedding changes and other assistance. I intensely dislike what they are doing to me. Diarrhea and bedding changes seem like a spectator sport, and I am the featured attraction. I am getting a lot stronger, so I can sustain myself pretty well. I still really depend on Menchie. Of course, I don't think that is going to change real soon. If it never changes, that will be fine with me.

I took a walk today. It was longer and stronger than yesterday's. My Doctor says I am doing extremely well. He said that I will probably be going home in a week or so. That would be an extreme relief.

CT Scan of the chest I got yesterday was completely normal.
