Friends,
Today is a little bit busy day for Ted. We started in the morning with the usual early morning visit from one of the nice specialist. Then the nurse's visit and prepare him for transfusion of platelets and blood. Then the usual visit of the oncology. They ordered the TPN and lipid for nutrition which started tonight. The transfusion of platelets started before noon. They gave him benadryl before so he did get some sleeps. Then right after the platelets they gave him the blood right away. He didn't wake up till around 3pm. Where he took a long leisurely shower. After he finished the shower he was exhausted of course. But he felt good. Once he was back in bed, the physical therapists came and asked if he is into walking. He just looked at the therapist and moved his head sideways saying NO. Oh well, he was too late, he is already tired. So I told him to come back tomorrow probably in the morning where he might be more energetic. He did took some naps after the shower. He got some visitors also today but didn't had the chance to talk to them because he was sleeping.
Last night he didn't get much sleep. He was busy cleaning his mouth with saline. He didn't sleep till around 4 pm I think. Probably because he was sleeping mostly during the day. Hopefully tonight will be a better night. He still complains of pain in his mouth once in a while but he always tolerate it. He doesn't want extra push of morphine. He is more alert when he is awake.
On the medical front- all the medicine are still the same. Just the addition of the IV nutrition. His creatinine is down to 1.6, from 1.7 yesterday . He got the transfusion of platelets and blood.
