Friends,

We had a good hospital visit today, including labs, my Pentamadine treatement, and a doctor visit. Between the appointments, we went to a grocery store and walked around there. I also walked from the hospital to the doctor's office for the first time today, so I did a lot of walking. I feel pretty good. Hopefully I will be OK tomorrow. I am planning to go for a bike ride tomorrow. Yes! My platelets were 55 today and the doctor cleared me to get back on my bike. The only slightly negative thing on the lab results was my creatinine. It was up to 1.5. I need to get that down again. The doctor is talking about starting to reduce my medications starting in about 3 weeks. That is very exciting!

During the week, we got new windows put into our house, and supported the Tahoe TNT Cycle team with SAG support. I had to rest a lot after both of those days, but it was worth it.

I mentioned the Moonlight Cancer Foundation in my last update. We had a meeting with them tonight to find out what we are going to be doing during the walk. I would like to encourage anyone in San Diego to come out and support this small foundation for their walk on Saturday. Information is available on www.moonlightcancerfoundation.org . They have lots of people waiting in line for support, but they don't have any funds available.

Menchie and I will be going to Chicago in mid-April to visit my parents. We are really looking forward to that. My mom is having an operation, and has not been able to visit here during my illness, so we decided to go there. The doctor said it was OK.

On the medical front, nothing new.
