Friends,
Just a quick update! Today is Day 100! An arbitrary milestone where I can start eating a more normal diet, my GVHD changes from acute to chronic, and other magical things happen that I haven't figured out yet. Menchie and I had lunch at a Japanese restaurant, and I had my first green salad in almost 6 months.
But the real reason I am sending this is because of my visit to the cardiologist today. The cardiologist reviewed my records, did a few tests like EKGs, Echocardiograms, and some test I have never seen before to test the fluid levels around and in the heart. Then he looked at the results of my heart monitor. Two tapes were normal, one was abnormal, but he said it was nothing to worry about. After all that, he pronounced my heart healthy and told me to send the heart monitor back to it's home in New Jersey. Hurrayyyy!
