December 08, 2006 , Day 52
Friends,
Another routine day at the hospital. No infusions and no transfusions. The doctor was happy with my lab work. The Cyclosporine level is in the desired area. I think the most exiting thing that has happened is the PT. The PT guy came in and said "where's your bike?" We took the hint and brought in my bike on the trainer and I rode my bike for 6 minutes. Not much tension, not a very high gear, but I did get up to 80 RPM. It was so cool I was riding the bike laughing and crying at the same time. Later in the day I started having problems with my bowels. That is continuing today, but it has changed. The Doctor said it was a normal side effect of the treatment. I need to get my villi back in shape and things should improve. It has been difficult to eat with the abdominal upset. I have managed a few meals though.
Physical therapist is coming Monday. He said I have to walk up our vertical driveway 5 times. My next hospital visit will be on Sunday.
Blood levels: Don't know why the WBC count is so high, but the doctor is not concerned. PLT still climbing!
