August 22, 2006, Day 12
This is Menchie pounding on the keyboard. So bear with me. First of all I would like to say thank you for all the supportive prayers ,thoughts and emails. We really appreciate it.
Ted is busy tending to his fevers, which comes and goes every 4 hours. He will start with chills then once the fever broke he will be sweating a lot. He will feel better for a little while, then go back to chills and start over again. At one point his chills is violent enough to shake the bed.
The new PICC line is working like a champ so far. His rashes are still spreading. He managed to go for a short walk, then I took him outside in a wheelchair for a short while. We both enjoyed that short trip outside.
On the medical front- The Vancomycin was discontinued (yeaaah) but was replaced with Daptomycin. Hopefully that will solve the problem regarding rashes. He also received his first dose of Neupogen. This is to stimulate his WBC production. He is also expecting to get a CAT Scan of his sinus and throat tonight as ordered.
